nothing new – but I finally sorted and updated the pattern page.
And I got the gallery thing working properly, ended up down grading photopress until the bugs get sorted out a bit from the latest realease.
What do you think of these new developments?
I changed the font sizes for everything, I like small text but I don’t want to put someone off because it was so wee. Do you think this is better?
And umm yeah I made a stuffies gallery – those two little guys are getting lonely, I think I need to make some more.
For various reasons this blog spring cleaning has been rather time consuming, (and pushed back Matilda Jane a wee bit) but I think I’ve pretty much got everything sorted how I want it, so hopefully it will be a bit more organised from now on. I really feel like I’ve got into the whole blogging thing properly only in the last couple of months, as you can probably tell from the frequency of posts. I’m not very good at commenting on other people’s blogs, but there are lots I read all the time. I really need to update my blogroll, so sorry if you feel like I’m ignoring you. I do love you really.

Hi Ysolda, the pattern section looks good. Will you be putting up any pics of your cloche hat? I’ve been looking for a nice pattern for a while for one. How did you felt yours? In a regular frontloading machine? I wish I had a toploader, just for felting knitting. I’m kind of hoping there isn’t a huge 20s revival, fashion-wise… it wont be so fun to play with if all the high street stores are pushing it.
Dear Ys,
tried to get onto this blog at school to show my friend something, and guess what? They classed it as an “Alternative Journal/Lifestyle Site” and the school filter got it! Unbelievable! (They have also filtered Craftster & Livejournal, though thankfully not CrAftermath.)

Fiona, yeah I’ll take pics of the hat soon. As for a pattern, well I just winged it and it isn’t perfect. But I’m thinking of making another (probably once I’ve finished Rosa) and if that works out I suppose there might be a pattern one day. I felt in a front loading machine and have never had problems. My machine doesn’t seem too fussed about being stopped mid cycle so that I can examine the felting. Of course I could be doing the machine huge amounts of damage but I haven’t seen any evidence of that.
And Nushy, your school wouldn’t let you on here? Shameful. Now I feel like I’m corrupting you. Although the knitted porn and my less than perfectly clean language would have probably made the filter throw a hissy fit even if it didn’t have issues with my alternative lifestyle. Umm yeah. I’m sure when I was at school we used certain sites to get around the filters (mainly for downloading porn but that’s another story).
Hi,
Your very talented!! Love the little stuffed monkey,
I am mostly a crocheter, But i have been trying to knit, it just seems to take forever.
I can make a whole halter in about 8 hours crocheting.
But i love the look of knit. its so light.
If you put crochet in the usa into a search you will find it.
I designed all the halters.
Take care!!
Keep on Knitting!!
Karen
So impressed and hope to hear more of you and knit lots. Wonderful.
hola me encanta la muñeca poppy, me gustaria conseguir los patrones, tu puedes ayudarme, te doy las gracias de antemano
Read about you in the Times but have not had time to explore your site fully yet.
Do you do patterns ‘in the round’? I hate stitching things together. I’ve tried adapting ordinary ones – and get totally lost after I get to the armpits!
Hope you can help. Carol
I kept the Times article to remind me to look you up & I LOVE your patterns…haven’t knitted anything tricky for years, am loving lots but mustn’t choose anything too tricky just yet!
Dear Ysolda,my dear old mum loved your article in the Times,Feb 27,i think! and desperately wants to have a crack at that garment you were wearing, lying down in amongst all those wools. She would love to know if you have an outlet in Edinburgh and because she is no expert knitter, wishes to know how to acquire some of your simpler patterns, feeling as she does, that the book that you have out may be rather difficile!Would be very grateful if you could please let me know, thanks!!
Lovely…..!
Hi Ysolda,
I ordered and paid for the digital copy of the Whimsical Little Knits yesterday 4/22/10, primarily to get the Ishbel pattern. Unfortunately I cannot open the link to download the patterns. Please help. I live in the US. Thanks.

Hi Ysolda
Have enjoyed looking at your blog – what an exciting summer!
My daughter is very keen to have the Gretel hat ready for the cold weather and I have paid via Paypal (have checked statement and money has come out). I am rather a novice at all this – how do I download pattern?
Best wishes, Helen
