cloud bolero pattern

weee! It’s up, it’s free and there is a contest for the first completed one. And as the contest is being run by Kerrie Allman and she owns hipknits I’m betting the prize will be delicious.

anyway take yourself over here to get it:

This pattern would be a great stashbuster, it would look great in all sorts of yarns. I’d love to see it in a shimmery ribbon, or perhaps some lacey mohair. Have fun experimenting with it.

I’m so excited about this magazine too, it’s going to be awesome :)

Thanks so much for the pattern!! It’s fantastic. I’ve had this chunky yarn sitting around for ages which I can use to make this with. And it seems like such a “Spring” piece.

Hi Ysolda, the bolero’s lovely.

Sorry to ask this via a comment, but I can’t find an email address on this site. I run Durham Uni knitting society, and was wondering if I may use your drawing of you knitting for my posters and flyers for freshers. I’ve twiddled with it a little bit to make it photocopiable. If you could email me to say yay or nay. Cheers, Anna xxx

Thanks for the pattern! Can’t wait to try it out ^^ I have some black silk yarn in my stash I think I’ll try out… it’s a bit too thin, but I’ll just knit a bigger size then! Would be awesome for this fall :)

Great pattern, but I think they should have used your picture for the on-line mag as it’s MUCH nicer!

whee, well done you! looks awesome. our SnB was just talking about the cloud bolero pattern on monday, wondering when it was coming out.

And I agree that your pic is far nicer than the one they used.

next question: when are you getting a book deal? :)

Hi, Ysolda – I’ve finished my Cloud bolero, and love it! Mine is actually very warm, as it’s in baby alpaca and silk, just right for the weather now here – kind of some days hot and humid, the next long sleeved t shirts and cold if you sit too long at the computer (not that I would!)
