8 self designed hand knit berets + 1 crochet one + 1 in progress that nicely demonstrates this obsession shows no sign of waning. The oldest of these is the red crochet one made maybe 5-6 years ago. But the obsession goes back much further, the oldest beret in the full collection (including the ones I didn’t make) is one I’ve been wearing since I was a toddler.
You’ll see more of some of these soon. Once I find myself a photographer and somewhere with better lighting than my flat. I love the light in my flat, but it sucks for photos. The sun is always on one side of the flat so there is really nowhere that is ever neither dark nor too brightly lit. Taking photos of myself in the bathroom is something of a last resort.

Obsessive?

I’m on a bit of a beret kick myself these days, but mostly using the moss stitch Le’Slouch pattern. But a couple of lovely skeins of Noro Silk Garden are on their way to becoming an entrelac beret.
They’re beautiful! I love berets (the only hat that looks good on me)!
Yum, I love how luscious and soft your beret pile is.
Berets rule!
Should I be getting worried about the amount of Beret’s you’re designing at the moment? ;)
