Today Elijah accompanied me and my friend Joanna to Glasgow. From a dress buying point of view it was totally unsuccessful, but we had a lot of fun. Elijah’s collection of different transport experiences continued. First we took the train. He enjoyed peering down at everyone from the luggage rack, but preferred looking out the window.

Then we took the underground, Elijah waited patiently on the platform and was very excited to see the train emerge from its tunnel.

Elijah got rather bored while we rummaged through racks of vintage dresses but he loved climbing on this fruit and veg display.
Tired of shopping we went to this adorably cute little cafe called Pop near the Hillhead end of the Gt Western Road. You know how much I love to bake and I’m not easily impressed by baking, but this place’s cake were really good.
and investigated a bubble full of cupcakes.

Unfortunately I’m very clumsy and somehow threw my coffee everywhere. Oops. Elijah got rather splashed and now the poor lil guy is taking a bath. Sorry Elijah!

Oh, I so have to cast this guy on.
Elijah looks quite happy in his bath! After shopping it’s always relaxing to do this. :-)
Too cute!
(how sad is it that a little stuffed elephant has a more exciting life than I do? ^__^)
Whew! What a busy little elephant!
aw, i’m glad he’s bathable. my boys had a bath tonight too, but somehow they weren’t as cute as elijah!
Man, I love that first picture. What a great post – and of course OF COURSE now I have to have the pattern.
I’m going to have to purchase this pattern next paycheck and grab me some yarn. he’s so cute!!
oh and I hope he’s not one of these elephants:

thought he would have Paris Hilton on his side helping him to fit his addiction to rice beer but I don’t think it would help. She’d probably just aid and abed.
I bought the pattern to make this sweet guy yesterday, but there was no download after the purchase, nor a link to go to … help
wow! Elijah has such fun!
I guess I happened to find your site the day you posted his pattern, as he has come to my house. arrived today!! I’m trying to get a photo on
flickr. I hope this link works. I’m not good at this.

Looks like you guys had a great little trip! Those are some cute photos Ysolda.
Oh, he’s just too adorable! I can’t stand it!
Marvelous. He has so much personality I actually had to remind myself that he’s inanimate!
I am loving Elija’s epic journey and the pattern is wonderful, too. A really satisfying knit.
I *do* have to watch out though, as Monkl (who has been my accomplice for several years…) is getting quite jealous and anxious that our adventures will be supplanted by the new arrival.
I need to understand cuddly-toy rivalry a bit better and find a good way to manage the situation…
You might like monkl. He is not knitted but we do have a lot of adventures together and he has his own bebo page:

Are your other cuddlies jealous of the attention Elijah is getting? Please advise…
I went to Pop yesterday! And I have to agree that the cakes are lovely. Sadly the soup was too full of chilli to eat but they didn’t make me pay for it and everything else was lovely so I would definitely go back. I am glad you had fun in Glasgow- did you go to K1 yarns? It is just up the road from Pop.
Sorry to hear that you had a bath, Elijah! Guess our Mummy was wee bit clumsy to spill coffee, but hey, you had fun and spent quality time with Mummy! We hope we were there with you!
These are so adorable!! :) I just love how cute Elijah is, and how the photos captured his cuteness. ;) hehe! My favorite is the one of him sitting on the platform; reminds me of an old Pooh Bear illustration! :) I daresay if you ever ventured to sell prints of the Elijah photographs, they’d be a big hit!
Oh Elijh, you are so adorable. Love to hear from you again (very soon I hope). I’m a big fan.
Can this be any sweeter?
