I’ve been meaning to take photos of someone with a figure that suits the shaping in the pattern wearing Snow White for a while. Today I finally got around to that. I also thought it might be nice to show how the neckline look with something under it – I really like the way these go together and it’s a good option for those worried about bra straps showing.
This is Hannah, with her birthday present – Otto the polar bear. I’m working on the pattern for him, so I do hope you like him. He’s from the same basic shape as Elijah and Sophie, but I used Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton which is a worsted weight – I think it worked really well and is a nice way to make the toys in a different size.
There are more photos on flickr :) It was so much fun to actually take the photos rather than model for once. Speaking of photos, I upgraded wordpress recently and forgot to re-activate a plugin, which meant that a lot of images were missing. Sorry about that, they should all be back up now.

oooh, I adore the polar bear! The teddy bear I had as a child was a polar bear and I so I’ve always had a special attachment to them. I think Otto is a great name too. My bear is named Ermintrude. She was named after a character in my most favorite book called Arctic Orphans, about a family of polar bears:

Snow White seems to look good on everyone who wears it. It’s so well designed.
What a lucky friend to get that little polar bear. I’m in love with it!
The photographs look great! I wish I had time to knit myself that sweater … It’s such a great pattern!
Aww your friend Hannah is so pretty! More motivation to get started on Snow White.
Oh Otto is great!!! Your friend Hanna look good on snow white!
Oh, Otto is a lovely little polar bear :)
I’ts really beautiful!! I love your blog!! I wish I could knit as well as you.
Congratulations from your Spanish friend
What beautiful photos. Hannah looks like Snow White herself.
I adore that bear. I’m going to have to knit him.
Reminds me of global warming though. We should start a Save Otto foundation and raise money for environmental causes. :P
Otto is adorable!!
Oh what-ever! As if Snow White didn’t look good on you already :) It does look lovely on your friend too, I like seeing it with something under it like that. I’ve been meaning to start that sweater for some time now–I love all of the shaping.
As for the polar bear..well…cute as always! I have some blue sky cotton in Ice blue that would be perfect for him! :)
Oh my goodness, I love that bear!
OMG! Love the bear. I can’t wait for the pattern.
Otto is adorable!
4 things!
1) You do have a figure and Snow White looks beautiful on you!
2) Snow White also looks beautiful on Hannah!
3) These photos have given me a much better idea of how Snow White will look with a top underneath. So thanks!
4) I can’t wait for Otto. I know someone with a big Polar Bear thing. And your toy patterns are so clever. I just started knitting Sophie last night. I couldn’t stop! I love the clever shaping and the way all the bits are attached. I knit a stuffed rabbit a few weeks ago and it was really fiddly and not very efficient. What a pleasant change to knit Sophie!! I’m nearly finished after just one evening! :)
I love Polar Bears, I can’t wait for your pattern!
The Snow white top looks lovely too, it’s been in my ‘to knit list’ for a while now.
This is beautiful. And you can tell Hannah that I absolutely love her haircut and I want to take the first shot in to my hairdresser’s. Maybe. Seeing as I have straight-as-a-pin hair, however, maybe not.
I love Otto! He is the cutest teddy bear!!
My son’s name is Otto!! The bear is so cute. I lurk here a lot but never comment- had to come out of the woodwork on this one, though ;-)
Hannah is stunning in Snow White, truly lovely.
I am eagerly awaiting Otto, he is adorable.
I just finished Elijah and he is on his way to a sweet little girl who has a passion for elephants. If blogger cooperates there will be pictures on the blog today.
Looking forward to buying Otto and placing him in the arms to be loved to bits.
