Today’s work

by ysolda on November 13, 2008

Today I’ve been finishing.

finishing

Beginning something new – any ideas on what it might be? (clue – it’s not a sock or a mitten)

finishing-2

And trying to make charts that are neat, pretty and user friendly. Something like this – what do you think?

Edit – I use adobe illustrator for charts (and indesign for pattern layouts), and while I love it it is a big investment in terms of money and learning there are lots of other options available if you want to make charts. Just don’t ask me for advice on them though, I have no idea!

That’s easy to read. It should copy well so you won’t need to carry the original to be able to read or use the chart.

The chart is very readable. Are you using Photoshop?

Is it a top down stuffie? I think the chart is very clear.

Are those bunny ears? If so, I bet the bunny underneath is every bit as adorable as Mousie! The pattern looks awesome!!

The charts are pretty good. What software are you using to make these?

First of all, I love charts I find them way more intuitive tha line-by-line instructions. For the most part I like the chart, it is good and clear for the yarn-over and purls, but the tick marks on the other symbol are hard to see on my screen. Maybe if they could be a touch bigger or bolder?

Is it a scarf?

It could be one of those little round purses on a long strap that used to accompany velvet dresses for little girls – you know, the ones with the quilted bodices?

Hmmm. . .I love trying to guess, but I’m at a loss. With your creative mind, it could be anything! I can’t wait to see!
