When I posted a photo of the baby surprise jacket hanging among my buttons a few of you asked to see more of my studio. I keep putting off taking pictures until it’s tidy, but as that rarely happens, and it’s about as tidy today as it ever gets while I’m actually using the room I thought I’d better just take some.
Edited to add: this isn’t a tablecloth – it’s only on the table because I stamped it last night. I’m planning on using it to make a needle case.

ah! gorgeous! i wish i had that much space. *sigh* i have a desk and some storage bins under it and under the bed. and the wall above the desk. i guess it’s all worth it to see the ocean from our office window but… jealous!
That “tablecloth” is too fabulous for words! I’ve always admired your blog background but to see the graphic on fabric and in RED!
Haha, I have the same glasses as you. Cute room! All that sunlight is the best :)
Beautiful!
ooh, I love the tablecloth print – did you screenprint it yourself? And the blue and yellow fairisle jumper in the second photo is adorable!
All you studio is so cute!! I love the idea of hanging clothes or things on a colored string. It’s a pretty studio you got even it’s so many time untidy like you said
i could live there. never go out again. i keep my yarn in an old book cabinet too. it is great.
I absolutely love your studio. What a room to find creativity.
Wow! What an amazing room. Just looking at it makes me happy!
I dream of a studio instead of my knitting nook. Got to wait for the kids to move out first though!
What a lovely, inspiring space to work, and play, in! thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for the photos. You have a great place to work in, and very tidy too. I like the clothesline with buttons and your vintage cabinet is so elegant.
What a wonderful space to work in! I enjoy seeing snippets into people’s homes, thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a lovely room, I love the way you’ve got things strung from the walls.
Wow what a beautiful and inspiring room! And I have the tape measure tape! It’s soo cool I always seal parcels with it. I like to think the postman smiles when he puts it through someone’s door!
What a happy place!
Thanks for sharing! I’m definitely going to get off my butt and stamp a plain piece of cloth to make the table cloth I need in my craft space. Thanks for the inspiration!
Your studio is darling. You’re making me want to finish my office. :)
So comfortable-seeming! This makes my little cave of a sewing room pale in comparison.
Oh… it makes me want to cry! Right now I get a desk and a bookcase in the living room and nothing on the rented walls. In April this year we’re moving into A House of Our Own and I get a whole damn room. I am so excited – the realisation that I’ll get a studio like yours makes me want to weep! Sure, it faces due West onto a car park (= lots of reflected heat) but it’ll be mine! I’m having a Virginia Woolf moment.
what a great space! natural light & clean lines. i like how you have your materials in view but stored/displayed at the same time.
What a wonderful space! Enjoy it!!!
(Hey, I just noticed that the “tablecloth” is also the background for your blog…silly me.)
fantastic studio! i’d love to have a studio of my own one day.
Looks like a very comfy and relaxing room-I envy you that ;)
What a lovely space. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for showing us your lovely studio. I especially like the yarn stacked up on the secretary desk. To me, it says “work” and “play” at the same time!
<3 matilda!
Love the pics of your studio — everything looks so bright and happy! Keep Knitting and stay warm!
Oh! What is the picture in one of your pictures, of a lady sitting on books? I want one!
Your studio is fantastic! Wow!! I love your stamped fabric for the needle case… can’t wait to see the final product. I want some of these needle/yarn stamps!!
