I had no idea when Elizabeth invited me to Charlottesville that her email would eventually lead to here. When I mentioned to her that I was thinking of going to Portland she offered me her family’s summer house on an island – thank you so much!

It’s a beautiful place, perfect for relaxing and even getting a little work done, on the beach of course.

I’ve been having fun exploring
every turn leads to an amazing view
and I even found an adorable roadside honey stand

Wow – really beautiful place! How nice of her to offer you the summer house!
I love Peaks Island! I have a cousin who lives there. It’s really beautiful and peaceful there. Enjoy!
It looks wonderful!
if you bring some honey home with you be prepared to have to take it out of your bag – for some strange reason honey looks just like some kind of explosive to machines the airline use — ask me how I know :D
oh meant to say that I was able to bring it home (just from Phoenix to NY) I just had to show them… I don’t know how it works international
You were so close to Vancouver Island, it’s a shame you didn’t make it!
It looks so peaceful.

What a lovely offer–the island looks so beautiful. It must have been really relaxing there!
I love Peaks Island–we’ve had several vacations there—and I’ve done quite a bit of knitting there. I missed a few blogs and thought you were on the west coast until I saw the “Peaks Island Honey” sign. I’m glad you enjoyed one of my favorite spots.
