Although it wasn’t easy I have managed to leave my island, Portland is just a short ferry ride away and I’m planning on spending tomorrow afteroon exploring it further – I even found a knitting group to go to so if you’re local come meet up with me and the Portland Knitter’s on the Town tomorrow evening at Passage to India from 6. On Saturday I ventured even further afield than Portland to visit Purl Diva in Brunswick for a lovely tea party.
Don’t you love the giant YARN sign? And there’s a porch!
Afterward Ellen, the owner and her husband took me for dinner
we stopped on the way to admire the view and
take another ridiculous jumpity (it’s a flickr thing!) on a suspension bridge.
Thank you for having me Purl Diva!

I’m so enjoying following you in your travels!
Oh, how I wish I were island knitting. Keep the views coming, it’s the next best thing!
I get to meet you twice?! I went to the event at Purl Diva and I’m a Portland Knitters on the Town regular. Fantastic! Look forward to seeing you again tomorrow evening.
It looks like you’re having a great time. I love the photo of your sweater in the yarn store. I just finished knitting that same sweater last weekend and I put the zipper in yesterday. I love that pattern and sweater.
OOH you went to Frontier! I recognized the board-plates. I hope your time in Maine is excellent–from the looks of things, it is!
