Chicago

by ysolda on June 4, 2009

Hello from the windy city! Which is living up to it’s name – I had to remove my hat earlier because I had no pins to hold it on.

If you’re in the area you have lots of options to see me. I’ll be at Loopy Yarns from 12-4 on Saturday June 6th; Klose Knit in Urbana from 2-5 on Sunday June 7th; Nana’s Knitting from 6.30 – 8 on Tuesday June 9th and Nina from 4-7 on Wednesday June 10th.

I’m going to be busy but I’m so glad you’ll have lots of options for when and where to meet me here :)

In a couple of weeks I’ll also be doing an event on Wednesday June 17th at Wonderknit in Columbus Ohio.

You’re a busy girl! I’m visiting Santa Fe at the moment and am disappointed my timetable doesn’t match up with yours–have a great time though.

Loopy was my go to yarn shop when I lived in Chicago so I’m glad to hear you’re visiting it!

If you have some free time, I’d recommend visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo. It has free admission and they have some great animals there. There’s a bench right in front of the Polar Bear underwater window that would be great for knitting in public.

I’m currently knitting your Briar Rose and loving it. Is there any chance you have plans to get all the way to the West Coast? Northern California is a beautiful place…. ;)

Have fun in Chicago! I went a few years ago and loved it. Also echoing Sarah’s comment – if you ever make it to the West Coast, there are tons of people who would love to meet you!

YES! YOU’RE GOING TO OHIO! THEREFORE YOU WILL END UP IN CHARLESTON, SC! I CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU!
(Anyone who has ever set foot in Ohio inevitably ends up in Charleston. You probably think I’m exaggerating. For once in my life, the undeniable reality of this mass migration is NOT a source of endless irritation. Hooray!)

Welcome to our city! I’m sorry I will miss you while you are here. I will be working at one the many other yarn shops in the area.

Will you be going to Kansas City Missouri? And will you be doing any events when you return to NYC? I hope you enjoy Columbus! I think you would enjoy taking a stroll through German Village.

Please tell me that WonderKnits isn’t going to be your only stop in Cleveland, it’s the only night of that week that I can’t make it! :-(
