Oh, I take back my earlier comment, Ididnt notice you were coming to St Abbs, which is in Northumberland, which is where we are!!! We also have a cottage on Lindifarne (Holy)Island and that is really near St Abbs. Those little fishing villages are treat!
but although you say you arent going to Scotland, you know, Berwick is practically in Scotland. Also, hundreds of years ago,the border was further south, as the dividing line was Hadrian's wall - which runs under our house, so we are in no-,man's land!

As you're in Leeds on the 19th (I might be able to make it to Baa Ram Ewe that night - would be good as I've not visited that new shop yet) are you staying over somewhere and going to the Knitting and Stitching show at the Harrogate International Centre thats happening on 20/21/22 Nov?

'...you may notice Scotland is absent.....' you say.
Yes......as is most of England!!!! You are only covering the south of England, and a tiny part of Wales. What a shame, since the further North (of England) you go, and up into the Highlands of Scotland, the more people knit (because we need to LOL)
You will find all the ral traditional knitting up north too.
Oh well :-(
