Say Hello to Sarah!

sarah

You might have already seen this on Ravelry, but a few weeks ago I hired an assistant – my friend Sarah. She’s answering emails, knitting samples, keeping me organised (not an easy task!), helping to pack books, driving me around on tour and generally being rather amazing. I can’t quite remember exactly how this worked without her! Please join me in thanking her for all of her help and welcoming her to what I can now call the Ysolda team! You can reach Sarah at sarah@ysolda.com and she’s Saz on Ravelry and Sazknits on Twitter.

By the way, the dress Sarah’s wearing is my friend Cirilia Rose’s Noyaux - isn’t it adorable? You can find the details on her Ravelry project page.

I knew that dress when it was just yarn and needles!
Your test knitting is fabulous, BTW Sarah … I have seen the mittens to prove it.
Have you got a blog, Saz?

YAY! I was gutted to see Sarah leave K1, but am so happy to see her along side you! Although her new boss might want to watch her hours- I have some suspiciously late night e-mails that suggest burning too much midnight oil!

xx

congrads! I was actually happy/surprised when sarah answered my question a couple weeks ago – she even apologized for not being ysolda!

congrats on the job! Also, the dress is fabulous, I’ve been looking for a good sweater dress pattern and I may have to check that one out…

I too will be sad not to see Sarah in k1 on my infrequent visits to Edinburgh. A couple of summers ago I used to walk past the shop every day on my way to being in a play, and it was her friendliness (and the many yarnie temptations on offer there) that really got me started with knitting.

That selfishness aside, this sounds like an exciting new venture, and I send all members of Team Ysolda my very best wishes!

Congratulations Sarah. You seem to be doing a grand job. I remember your friendly welcome at K1 when I turned up with the Travelling Crochet Tiny! Ten during the summer.
