Well, knitting provides me a sanctuary from the ‘real’ world, and your lovely patterns help with that! Change comes one person at a time, and you’re contributing.
i like to think that peace would get a helping hand if people considered themselves citizens of earth, as oppossed to citizens of a specific country. however, it would probably only change the reasons behind conflict, not elimanate conflict! humans, as a species, need to grow up–myself included:)
That’s an interesting thought of Maria’s. If somebody could design a knit (on a white poppy theme, maybe http://www.whitepoppy.org.uk/ ) – we could all Knit for Peace next November.

You and me both. The world is a crazy place, but I’m starting to learn that peace comes from within.
Good luck!
How about using that thought to create a future pattern?
Amen.

I’d get behind it, anyway
I like the idea of knitting for peace too. Would be good if the results could benefit some victims of conflict as well- maybe child refugees?
Amen.
