Dear Ysolda. I bought your book Little Red in the City at The Whole Nine Yarns in Woodstock Georgia, USA……….I never thought I’d be able to master the skill in your designs but now after reading the book I am doing the one sweater from the book now called Angostura. I appreciate the model as I am a 44 bust and to see how it looks on some who is larger than a Zero is inspiring. Your designs with the attention to detail is inspiring. it is very pleasing to see someone working to show the garments in more sizes. i believe it will also gain support of the larger community and probably helps sales too. good luck!

Thank you so very much!!! I am a rather experienced knitter who has yet to make a sweater to fit my own plus sized body. The biggest reason for this is that I have no idea what it’s going to look like on me. I actually cried a little when I read your blog post. I can’t wait for your book to come out. I don’t buy a ton of knitting books, but I will be buying yours!

this is such a brilliant idea! if women saw themselves as they really are (large or small or in between, white or pink or tan or brown and everything in the spectrum!) portrayed in the world around them, then they and the rest of the planet would expand their internal vision of what is beautiful! rather than living within the narrow confines dictated to us by those in charge of advertising! on a separate note, i love your work! one day i hope to come to scotland and if i did… where would i find your patterns, work, designs??

Thank you – I don’t usually knit for myself because I am not confident in my skills at trying to enlarge patterns to fit me. Many of the patterns I do find are just not that stylish – but yours are to die for! Can’t wait for the book.

I love these patterns and it is great to see them in larger sizes – I often dont bother trying stuff cos I think it will only look good on the size 0 model – this is very inspiring, thankyou.
ps – if youre going to squam visit Wolfboro – its gorgeous – and it has a great diner!
