The printer has started sending me photos of the printing underway and I thought you might like to see them. I always loved the segments on kid’s tv shows where they visited factories to see toothpaste or something being made!
This is all of the paper for the interior pages.
And here are some of the first sheets to come off the presses, they check samples every so often to make sure everything is correct :)

omg! so much paper!
Very cool! I also love seeing how things are made. There is a TV show here in canada called “How it’s Made” very fun to watch. You must be so excited for the book to be so close to finished! I know I am. Planning the Chickadee cardigan.
heee! I love watching that show too!
Sweet!
I have a question – I moved a few weeks ago, how do I go about changing my address?
Hi! Just send an email to mail@ysolda.com with the details and I’ll update things for you :) Sarah
I love the printing presses! In my past advertising agency life, I had to go on press checks as part of my job and loved watching the different layers of ink appear….
Congrats again! Can’t wait to meet my book in person…
I thought I was the only person on earth who loved press checks! This made me decide to pre-order the book, yay!
so exciting!
OMG. I love the process of printing. I worked in the advertising/printing business for many years and the process of getting the image just right, checking proofs, editing – I loved it all. Those proof sheets are gorgeous. You should frame a few.
Aww! I worked in printing for 20 years (all sorts of jobs, but mostly customer service and project management) and these pictures have me missing my old job. I love the magic of the process!
Huzzah! I can’t wait to receive my copy ;-)
My question is similar to Megan’s; I will be moving house mid-June and would like to update my order with my new address…thanks!
that’s so great ! but i wonder for the people like me that bought the ebook a long time ago, when will we be able to download it ? :)
One of my favorite smells is the smell of a brand new book when first cracked open. :)
There’s nothing like the smell of fresh ink!
I’m waiting this lovely pages!! I’m from Catalunya (Spain), and I follow your projects for a while. It’s been nice to meet you.
cool!
I can’t wait to see the book in my local yarn shops. Do you know when they might start stocking them? :D
As soon as we can get them to them! I think it’s going to be the 2nd week of June. I *think*!
I’ve worked in publishing for nearly 20 years, and yet I’ve never had a chance to go on a press run. How delightful to see the pictures from your very own book being made! Very exciting stuff!!
We’re getting in touch with everyone who has commented about an address change via email, but if you haven’t let us know / haven’t heard from us please email support@ysolda.com so we can make sure your book finds it’s way :)
