Beret featuring a lattice cable pattern worked in worsted weight yarn. The pattern is given for three different styles to create a traditional fitted beret shape, a slouchy snood like shape, or a style somewhere in between the other two and similar to a traditional tam (not pictured).

Gauge

16 sts and 24 rows = 4" / 10 cm in stocking stitch using 4.5mm needles worked in the round.

Sizing

The ribbed band of the beret is very stretchy and should fit most women. The pattern is given for 3 styles: fitted, regular and slouchy.
The approximate diameter of the decrease section is 8 inches.

Yarn

175[220, 250] yards / 160[200, 230] metres of worsted / heavy worsted / aran weight yarn.
Pink, fitted beret is Noro Cash Iroha in shade 109 and grey, slouchy beret is Lana Grossa Soffice in shade 10.

Needles and notions

US 5/3.75mm set of 4 double pointed needles or needles required for your preferred method of working small circumferences in the round.
US 7/4.5mm 16"/40cm or 24"/60cm circular needle.
