A slouchy beret featuring a large lace flower pattern and knit on band in a firm, textured stitch pattern with decorative button. The pattern is worked from the top down and the band is knit onto the live hat stitches at the end. Verity uses a worsted weight yarn and the pattern is given in our sizes so you can be sure of a perfect fit. This pattern contains both written and charted directions.

Materials

170[195, 210, 235] metres / 185[215, 230, 255] yards of heavy worsted / aran weight yarn.

Shown in Trendsetter Yarns Kashmir in shade 27018.

4.5mm (or size needed to obtain correct gauge) set of 4 double pointed needles.

4.5mm (or size needed to obtain correct gauge) 16”/40cm circular needle.

Stitch marker.

Tapestry needle.

A special button, approximately 2.5cm / 1” in diameter. Because there is no buttonhole the size is not crucial.

Gauge

18 sts and 27 rnds = 10cm / 4”in stocking stitch. For best results work your swatch in the round.

To fit a head circumference of approx: 46[51, 56, 61] cm. 18[20, 22, 24] inches.
