Errata

All the patterns are thoroughly checked and edited, but sometimes an error slips through.

If you have bought a pattern from the website or through Ravelry then all updates and corrections are emailed to you automatically.  If you have purchased a pattern and don’t think that you have the most recent version, email support@ysolda.com.

Version numbers noted below are the corrected and most recent versions.

Lee from Knitting Daily

Row 1 should read: kfb of each stitch.  12 sts.

The Orchid Thief Shawlette  in Brave New Knits
Note: This error appears only in the first print run of Brave New Knits.  If your book was purchased from towards the end of 2010 then you will likely have a corrected copy.

The repeat box at the centre of chart 3 is incorrectly drawn.

On row 42 there are 2 decreases missing towards the end of the chart.

The note below chart 4 is incorrect.

One column of decreases on chart 4 was moved down a row.

A knit stitch was missing on row 100.

The corrected charts 3 and 4 are shown below and a print friendly pdf can be downloaded here. If you are a store selling the book please feel free to print this for your customers or direct them to this link.

Whimiscal Little Knits

Ishbel – v1.2
Row 1 in the written directions for Sections A, B and C should end – “ssk, k1, yo, k3.”

Please note that there are no other problems in the written directions which have been extensively tested.  Some people have found that using markers between each repeat can cause problems with the lace pattern.  If you are having trouble keeping track of the pattern I encourage you to reference the chart even if working primarily from the written directions in order to get a clearer idea of how the pattern lines up.

Mousie – v1.2
Row 23 of the ears should be – “p1, p2tog, p4, p2tog, p1.”

Hap Blanket – v1.2
On the edging in both written directions and the chart, rnds 1, 5, 9 and every following 4th rnd should be purled.

Whimsical Little Knits 2

Smith – v1.3
Numbering on last few rnds has been corrected, although the actual instructions were correct.  The numbering is correct in print copies of the book.

Veyla -v1.3
The pattern has been updated so that the left mitt features the left leaf motif and not the right.  This is correct in print copies of the book.

Snapdragon flip-tops – v1.2
The first line of instructions for the hand of the right mitt should start: k 1 rnd; k19

The written instructions for rnd 24 should read: k1, m1, k1, p3, k2tog, k1, p3, inc4, p3, k1, ssk, p3, k1, m1, k2, *k1, m1, k1, p3, sl1, k2tog, psso, p3, k1, m1, k2; rep from * to end.  These errors were corrected in print copies of the book.

Emily -v1.2
There was a missing ssk on rnd 24 (in both the written directions and the chart). The corrected instruction is: Row 24: k to marker, slm, p1, k1, ssk, yo, k3tog, k2, (yo, ssk) twice, k to end.  This is correct in print copies of the book.

Nathaniel -v1.2
The last 6 stitches of Rnd 32 of the body section have been changed to p6, to correctly maintain the garter stitch edge.  This is correct in print copies of the book.

Peaks Island Hood – v1.2
Clarification – to work in pattern for 28” more, rather than 28” from cast on edge.  This is correct in print copies of the book.

Scroll Lace Scarf – v1.2
The directions for W+T have been updated in the abbreviations.  The scroll lace written directions have been updated to correctly include p1 at the end of WS rows and the chart has been updated to include k sts in row 15.

There are corrections for the version of the Scroll Lace Scarf that was originally published in Yarn Forward, Issue 15.
The last stitch worked on WS rows should be a purl, not a knit. Row 14 beings with 3 stitches cast off which is noted in the written directions but not in the chart.

Liesl
v1.4
The buttonholes have been moved to the beginning of wrong side rows so that they don’t interfere with the lace pattern, starting on Row 3.

The number of stitches to work at the beginning of the right sleeve have been changed so that the lace pattern correctly lines up.

For left sleeve: K 10[7, 4, 1, 10, 7, 4] sts picked up sts and place marker to mark beg of rnd. K 1 rnd.
For right sleeve: K 3[6, 9, 0, 3, 6, 9] picked up sts and place marker to mark beg of rnd. K 1 rnd.
