wow!

isn’t this hot?

I think I’m about to start this.
Avoiding the gloves - turns out the rowanspun I’m using has been discontinued, and that although the pattern seems to say (remember it was in Japanese) that I only need one skein of each colour I just don’t think it will be enough. My plan is to finish the glove and then unwind the whole of the red ball onto something and measure it. But that’s a pain, it’s cold outside and I’ve got a cold. Something faster, pretty and just complicated enough (ie. not glove fingers in fair isle) sounds like a plan.

Oh, please don’t stop! I made 3 pairs of them and each time it needs somehow EXACT one skein in each colour. It will work! (even ball of yarn seems dangerously small..)

really? even though I did 8 extra rounds at the beginning to make the cuffs longer? You think I’ll have enough?

Hi. 8 rounds.. Umm. I think you might miss one index finger. I guess you don’t want to knit once again nor shorten your cuffs… How about having different shade start for fingers or left hand in other color?
I don’t have my pics but this web you might have fun to look.

i guess its time to hunt up a couple more skeins - if I can find it I suppose it might be on sale. I don’t want to have to lose a finger just to wear my gloves.

thanks for the link - I haven’t even finished one glove and now I want to make more.

I love that dress as well, but don’t you think it will stretch like mad when you knit it in cotton?

I’m actually thinking of knitting it in wool - trying to decide if I’d ever wear a see-through lace wooly dress. Hmm…

I think it’s designed to work with the stretchiness - if that makes sense, but I agree that pure cotton doesn’t seem like the best fibre choice.
