let’s pretend I don’t have an essay due in in 24 hours

feeling kind of brain dead so I cast on for something simple yesterday. Something I don’t have to do maths for.

knitting/rosa

while clearing out my stash I found this, tied it to my lampshade and took pictures. I have absolutely no idea what to I was trying to make, but fuck frogging kidsilk haze - it’s a mobile now.

I really like the beaded shirt pattern! Where is it from?

it’s from Rowan 35, the pattern is called Rosa. And requires a daunting 4000 beads in the smallest size. I’m currently making the small - but I’m not entirely sure that was the right decision, which involves even more beads.
Suggest how many beads you should thread onto each ball? ha, not Rowan to be so helpful.
Not only is this the first pattern I’ve followed for a while I’m only planning on making one change - that ribbon should tie towards the side. Why? It just should.

I’m so glad you’re knitting Rosa! It’s a beautiful pattern… I knit it up last year and it came out nicely. Have fun with that - and don’t let the beads get you frustrated.

I agree. The ties should definately be at the side. And good luck with that. It will come out beautifully, is my prediction. (Though just looking at the size of those needles makes my wrists want to fall of.)

haha, well yesterday I was knitting with 2mm needles (socks) and only the hem facing of this is on really tiny needles (2.25 mm) now I’m using 2.75 mm needles and they look big. Oh dear.

and you commented while I was on your blog. Weird
