I’m wearing the jaywalkers I’m knitting in that picture today, but for the last hour I’ve had a cold right foot. I got caught on a nail in the hall floor and look what happened:

That jaywalker hole is beautifully fixable. It looks exactly like the photo for the “one row deep” example in the “Repairing Knitwear” article in the new knitty–since it came out I’ve been dragging all my holey handknit socks out of the basket trying to redeem them.

Oh no! I ripped a hole in one of my handknit socks, but I didnt notice for a while and it just got bigger and bigger…. at least you saw this early enough to fix it. Good luck!
