matilda jane the second

me and my friend jamie had a little photoshoot today.

and the photographer:

we had to climb a gate and slip through a fence, which would have been more graceful if either of us had been wearing trousers. At least I had underwear. Oh and for those curious about where this was, it’s beside the Water of Leith near the Dene bridge. (eh in edinburgh of course, right in the middle of the city though it’s hard to believe).

I love the way the fabric buttons, contrast trim and fabric lacing work together! Beautiful.

Hi, been reading your blog for a few months, love this cardigan. Was moved to comment because this is really near my flat in Dean Village, not often I go to read a blog and there are photos of places literally round the corner!

Great cradi.
I thought this was only a legend that under the “schotish skirt” (do you calll it a skirt? I’m translating only how we call it in Hungary)they don’t wear anything. It should be weird or it’s just every man’s dream ?

That sweater is really lovely. The photos are fantastic as well.

We have nothing like that in Indiana. It is all flat with big red barns (which are nice too, but not in the same class).

Lovely pics!! The liberty fabric does Matilda justice–you have a great eye. I would not have thought of those together. And the photographer–yum! My husband wore a kilt for our engagement pictures with big thick soled boots and he was verrrry sexy :)

It looks great! Is that lovely scalloped hem new, or did I simply not notice that the first time around?

Wow, this one I like even better. And just the same question, was the lacy collar already there ? It’s just so pretty, as the liberty ribbon is ! Great pics for a real nice cardi, congrats !!

thankyou :)
nothing except the way the button bands are made and the shape / sizing have been changed. It’s just this version is in MUCH nicer yarn that works better with the pattern.

Sorry to be so late on the draw (I’m new) but I heartily agree with everyone else: the matilda-jane is gorgeous!

You have a beautiful style and a wonderful eye for details. Well done.

I am in love - I’m not sure what with. Man in a kilt, green eyeshadow, Matilda Jane? I have been dreaming of a pink and green top lately.

I love the photos- great location and Matilda Jane is beautiful! Looks like you had fun! Is it easy to use the self-cover buttons? Or do you need a badge-making kit?
