a quick question

I will be most grateful if you could take the time to comment with your opinion on this matter. Teehee.

Umm yeah. I was just putting together the stuffies pattern as a pdf, but then I started wondering whether you would prefer the free pattern (it will be free, because free stuff always rocks) as a pdf to download or just as a webpage. It doesn’t make much difference to me either way, and I don’t really have a preference regarding other patterns so I thought I would canvas you for opinions. To pdf or not? Of course the third option is to put the pattern on a page with a link to a pdf file. Do you think this covering all bases is actually necessary?

I’m not fussed. If pushed I’d say pdf because it’s easier to save it on my computer and it’d print out nicely which webpages don’t always. But come off it, if you’re going to be nice enough to put up free patterns I don’t think anyone minds.

I think a pdf as they’re far easier to print - but again with what pigwotknits said - no one will really be fussed about the format if it’s free!

PS tried to get onto your blog from school and it’s now an OCCULT site - ?

either option works for me too. PDF is just fine. :)

pdf is better, but like the others. you’re generous enough to make the pattern available for free, so whatever’s easiest for you.

I think PDF is nicer and easier to print from, but like everyone else said - if you’re awesome enough to put it up for free, I don’t think anyone is going to mind about the format!

nush - yesterday’s post had the world “devil” in it… hence the occult. I once got persistently spam-filtered and couldn’t figure out what was so “adult” about my email, until I clued in that apparently, in some circles, “breastmilk” counts as erotica.

And Ysolda, I’m just grateful you’re publishing the patterns for free.

I like PDF as it’s already formatted and easy to print. That would be my preference.

Love the free patterns (love the pay patterns too, but I am a *big* girl). I like PDFs myself. I keep them on a micro drive so I don’t have to remember webpages.

I prefer webpages, actually, because I tend to like to look at patterns before I do anything with them, and it’s harder to just glance at a PDF. I agree with the people who said if you’re putting up free patterns it probably doesn’t matter… But it’s not too much extra work to do both options, is it?
