crazy extended birthday celebrations, holidays and partying are over. Here’s a little photo story of what I’ve been up to since my last post.

I’ve almost done writing the pattern for the cloud bolero, this is the one I’m knitting as I do the pattern (I now have 3 of these in different colours):

We put together a little suprise party for Em, with strawberry cake:

and somehow, despite that being a very crazy (but fun) night of partying there are no photos. But I think this one from the next afternoon sums it all up pretty well:

Then I went to Venice, so pretty and so hot and sunny. I did a lot of this:

I photographed this bizarre knitted dress, hideous really but I thought the construction was intriguing:

This looked almost too good to eat, but I did and it was delicious, all fish should be served with wings:

On my birthday I had lunch at my parent’s house , and decided that I controlled the weather. Sandwiched between miserable days? was this, and it iswas just as warm and sunny as it looks here all day (until about 6 am when it rained). Look how pretty my mum made everything:

Later on I went for dinner with some friends to the Basement. The food was yummy and the staff were great and the bar staff continued to serve us drinks after the waiting staff had gone home, highly recommended if you’re in Edinburgh.

Eventually we ended up at a party, and sat around in the sun outside until it rained, here is a random photo:

The next night (eh we’re up to Sunday here) we dragged ourselves out for Jamie’s birthday, although technically most of the partying on my birthday night was his birthday:

And while very tired, I proved that I may actually be an anime charcter:

I owe everyone under the sun emails and expect those shortly, although I did at least manage to send a package to my secret pal before leaving for Venice. If you emailed me in the last couple of weeks and don’t get a reply over the next day or two don’t be offended just remember that I’m shockingly disorganised and send me another. I’ve acquired some amazing things that have to be photographed and blogged about soon, and of course there is a long overdue knitting post coming. For now, however I think this is long enough.
