so promising
I had a very productive morning today. Although given that I generally spend the most part of mornings asleep that may not be saying much. But today I got up at 8.30 and met my mum for coffee in the National Gallery, which since they linked the two galleries together and put in the new cafe means having breakfast on a terrace in Princes Street Gardens, pretty :). Then we went to the exhibition of Rembrandt’s drawings, it’s hard to believe they weren’t scaled down - the detail level is amazing. And we all know how much I love tiny, detailed, miniature things.
Since the clearing out thing has been going quite well, I went shopping. You know, to reward myself. Umm yeah. I got some fabric, the tweedy stuff at the bottom I found in a charity shop and I think it might eventually become a coat. The others are just some simple cottons.
They aren’t going to stay quite so simple for long though. Here are a couple of clues to the metamorphosis they’re headed for.
And for the sake of posterity and making myself believe that I ever managed not to kill plants rapidly here are some more photos of my flowers.

What beautiful flowers. I can never get flowers to stay alive. My green plants grow like crazy though.
I am intrigued by the paints and fabrics.

I can’t wait to see the coat, I bet it will be simply mahvalous! I too love the fuscia’s-they are one of my favorite flowers, however they have been banned from my house because I always manage to kill them…and not with kindness.

Love the fushcia’s. They reminded me so much of ballerinas when I was small.
