21 years in pictures

21 years

If you’ve been reading for a while, you might remember that the present my dad gave me for my birthday this year made me cry. I’ve been wanting to share it since then, and only just decided this evening to start doing so. Partly because I wanted to blog about something and haven’t been doing much and partly because I can finally look at it without crying, I don’t think the tears in my eyes will ever not be present when I leaf through this book.

I’ll be gradually uploading the contents of the album (100 odd photos from all through my life) to this flickr set, and maybe blogging about some of the pictures too. It’s the most beautiful, most meaningful gift I’ve ever received and I’d like to share it.

If the rest of them are anything like that, no wonder you keep crying when you look at it. Looking forward to the rest of them - thanks for sharing them.

my mum did that for my 21st… there are some truly terrible photos in there of my rather dire teenage fashion sense, but so many happy memories. it’s the one thing i’d save if my house was on fire. yup, even before The Stash! :p

i can really see a family resemblance, too? thanks for sharing :)

awe, that is so sweet and loving. I look forward to seeing the pictures. I too have a fabulous dad who has done many wonderful things for me in my life and has had me crying tears of love and joy many times. Consider yourself blessed and soooo lucky!

Such a beautiful and thoughtful gift. I can see why you would be teary-eye each time you looked at it. Happy Birthday.
