recently I’ve had way too little sleep and haven’t felt much like blogging, but I have missed this little blog of mine :)

So here are a few little snippets of some recent craftiness.

I resurrected an old halloween costume with some dye and some stitching.

Wore this to a party on Saturday, and I would have been more likely to have modeled pictures that I didn’t feel embarrassed about posting if I had not been drunk enough to leave my camera at said party. Oops. I did manage to find the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and King of Hearts though. Which wasn’t bad considering it wasn’t an Alice party!
There’s even been a little bit of knitting recently. I’ve been very scattered and unfocused with the whole creative thing lately: essay deadlines, lunar eclipses and periods combined (and 2 day long hangovers - I’m getting old) do not make me very focused or creative. But that has passed and seems to be improving a little. There may even be a FO in sight! ( I have about 5 rows of I-cord to knit, 10 sts to graft and 4 ends to weave in. I think I can manage that.

It was nice to remember with the Alice costume that I can sew, I’d kind of forgotten about that. Maybe some summer dresses are in order. It’s definitely spring - I’m wearing a summer dress right now (albeit with woolen trousers and a cardigan). Mostly though I want to spring clean, to the point where I get round to the less important but more fun messes like this:
