Thanks for the tutorial! Those button loops are really neat looking, so I’ll certainly use this info you’ve kindly shared on a coming project. The tutorial is very clear, but as I haven’t done much hand-sewing I have one question about the initial and final “few stitches worked on top of each other to anchor the thread to the wrong side of your work”: what should they look like? Are they just the same as the ones done on the loop? If not, and if you think a picture wouldn’t tell enough, would you mind explaining how you do them? Thank you!

Thank you so much for the tips. Now I can make buttons to my knitting w/o sweating much. Honestly, I have a finished project that needs buttons, and I used crochet for the button loops, but I was not happy with it. So…, it’s been sitting in my closet, waiting for better solution. I think I will use your button loops to see if it looks better. :) Thank you so much.

A late thank you for reminding me of this technique. I’ve just found your blog today and I love it in spite of the fact that I don’t knit or crochet - you people who make big things out of bits of string make me shake my head in awe. Anyways, I’ve been looking for a pretty button closure finished for a wrist cuff design I’ve been working out and completely forgot about this until now. Cheers.
