Hello Ysolda,
I stopped by after seeing your lovely beret pattern and was pleasantly surprised to see that you’re local (I’m in Kirkcaldy). You photograph in your own creations so prettily, particularly when wearing red. I’m jealous. ;) Thanks for sharing the pattern.

Just dropping by to say congratulations on your beret. It’s a great pattern to use up those single skeins of bulky that I don’t know what to do with (only so many short scarves can a girl make).

I saw your lovely pattern in the new Knitty and suddenly I knew what to do with the the one odd, lonely skein of Magallanes that’s been sitting mournfully around my apartment for a year.

Admirable lipstick, btw. I love to apply red when I’m just at home but I sadly can never wear it out and about, I forget it’s on and end up with a hideous clown face.

Neil Gaiman provides all sorts of crafty inspiration- I made a necklace inspired by Neverwhere recently ( http://corvustristis.livejournal.com/12225.html ), and have been contemplating an American Gods/Anansi Boys related project recently.

I think Urchin may have to be my first beret. It’s so very cute and I think it’s the sort of hat I can pull off.

I agree - not just NG, but NG via Susanna Clarke… NG was just in Lund, on the same day that I was, but sadly I knew about it too late to go to the preview of Stardust… Besides, what with the last time I saw him in Gothenburg, I’m afraid I might indeed topple irrevocably into “demented fan girl”-mode if I “met” him again… It’s a blissful, simple existence though… (And here the grammar fairy would accost me for using an excessive amount of ellipses.)
