Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Is, as you may be aware this month. Lin is generously donating 5p for every comment she gets throughout the month to Cancer Research UK. Today is her birthday, so go and say happy birthday, and check out her gorgeous Malabrigo Gretel, and see if we can increase her total. This feels particularly close to home, as today is also the birthday of one of my knitting friends who will be having a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery on Thursday, I’m sure she could use some vibes.

I am sending best wishes as well. I am glad your friend is having the reconstruction done now, rather than waiting, it will be much easier that way.

I’m sure Alison will be fine in the end. She’s a tough cookie. Although I’ve been thinking of making up a knitting care package for her.. a few balls of yarn for when she’s not so sore.
See you tomorrow! Can’t wait to have a rummage though the jumble.. I hope we find some fabric and yarn!

isn’t Ravelry great? I’m just pottering about in my friends pages trying to catch up, and found this. thank you very much for posting it, both for me and all the other women out there affected by breast cancer.
and now that you’ve seen me for yourself, you know that i’m doing well, and that all the positive thoughts from everyone must be a part of that.
