Finishing what I’ve started
I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed by the number of projects that I have on the needles and that I have to finish patterns for. Since November seems to be the month of goals I’m going to try and finish everything that I’m currently working on within the month.
Firstly I need to finish the Apocalypse [...]

Working away
Last night my friend Azi came round for dinner. She arrived to find that I’d gotten distracted from cooking by attempting to put together a very makeshift curtain for the kitchen window. Admittedly it took more than the five minutes I was planning on but I’m rather pleased with the results. Quickly rolled up [...]

The Adventures of Elijah - a story and a contest
Elijah was sitting, minding his own business, when a mysterious light suddenly surrounded him. His position in its centre prevented him from noticing but the shape of the light seemed to suggest that they were looking just for him.

Lights, lace, yarn and books
We did go to watch fireworks from Arthur Seat, actually we walked along the crags, and with the pretty lights and mulled wine it was all very festive, I’m feeling a lot more enthusiastic about winter now. All the Pretty Colours
This evening I went to the most civilised of the weeks Halloweenish events, a little gathering with friends, fireworks and horror movies. I’ve been thinking about making monster cupcakes ever since I saw My Little Mochi’s on Halloween and this seemed like the perfect occasion.
I’m not much of a marshmallow fan though and I didn’t [...]

Vegan Swap Goodies
The only thing I don’t mind being woken up first thing in the morning for is the parcel-post-man bringing packages full of treats. Nicola sent me a wonderful and beautifully wrapped box. It was too dark and I was too sleepy to take pictures of the wrapping, but trust me it was delightful. Of course [...]

Beginnings
The blog has felt a little quiet and neglected lately so to get myself back into the habit of more regular writing I signed up for NaBloPoMo.
Halloween was full of silly drunken partying, pretty much as it should be. Jamie came round in the afternoon and we got ready together, I re-did all of that [...]
