New! Improved! Gretel!

I’ve finally finished the updated version of the Gretel pattern based on your very helpful feedback. It’s been emailed to everyone who has purchased the pattern, but please let me know if you haven’t got it (preferably from the email address you used when you bought it so I can verify your id). Of course it’s also up in the shop.

The main changes are:

The addition of charts.

Laying out the written directions in a table.

Stitch counts after every round that includes shaping.

Numbered rounds.

No ‘work in patt as set’ directions - I know that it was confusing, especially to beginners, so I’ve taken it out.

I think that’s everything, please let me know what you think.

Thanks for a lovely pattern. I’ve just finished knitting it and, while I had trouble getting the sizing right, it’s ended up being just perfect. Just waiting for the weekend when there will (hopefully) be daylight for some photos so I can show if off on Ravelry.

I received my Gretel update today. I was about to cast on and so this update was very helpful! Thank you for such thorough customer service and follow-through with your patterns. I must say I was not only pleased, but surprised to find an update in my email for a knitting pattern. I also checked your tutorial for the cast on technique for this pattern and that was wonderful, too. Again, thank you!-Amber

So, may I bother you about the pink rabbit. I love her and want to knit her. Any pattern available?

Oooh how exciting! I loved making my first one and was interested in trying again with a lighter worsted weight that wasn’t handspun. I just checked my email and it doesn’t look like it’s made its way over yet, but I’m excited to start when it does! Thank you :)

Thank you so much for the improved pattern! I did have questions as I knitted and had to figure out the stitch count, etc, I will make this hat again,so very happy it will be clear the next time. I have tried to write patterns and find them very trying to make clear and complete.
keep up the good work.
thank you, Robbin

Thanks so much for all your hard work on this. Just one thing–the last stitch count reads as 16 stitches. I wound up with 18, and the last row fit, and if you count the stitches, they couldn’t possibly be 16. Unless my math is really THAT bad? Just wanted to point it out, in the rare case that I’m right! :)

Thankyou for emailing the updated pattern to me… I am going to start doing this very soon (ie as soon as I have finished all the other partially made things that I really HAVE to finish!)
