Eye Candy Friday
I took these a couple of days ago, on a little walk up Arthur’s Seat the giant mammoth that dominates the Edinburgh skyline and provides a little countryside in the centre of the city.
Back soon with more words, hopefully without another week long break.

Oh how I love Edinburgh! I spent many a weekends there while studying in London. That hike up to Arthur’s seat is one of my favorites. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

Thanks so much for posting pictures of your country. My ancestors are from there, and I hope I can visit some day. This is the next best thing!

Thanks for the eye candy…I’m counting down the days until I’ll be landing in my favourite city…..maybe I’ll get up Arthur’s seat when I’m there too!

Clouds, green landscape, water…I love it (I live in desert)! I think the purple flowers are foxgloves.

One of those purple flowers just started growing in my front yard and I have no clue where it came from because I didn’t plant it. It is about 5 feet tall now! I think they are really pretty though so it is staying.

The flowers are foxgloves, and they self-seed.
I bike around Arthur’s seat on the way to work every morning, and love to see the wildflowers change with the seasons. The foxgloves have been particularly striking (not least because my sunglasses intensify the reds in everything, so they look hot-pink instead of purple!)

Those pink flowers are so lovely! Like little petticoat tiers with lace inside.

I’d call the trip up Arthur’s Seat more than just a little walk! It is a nice one, though. Beautiful pictures!
