If you’ve been reading for a while, you might remember that the present my dad gave me for my birthday this year made me cry. I’ve been wanting to share it since then, and only just decided this evening to start doing so. Partly because I wanted to blog about something and haven’t been doing much and partly because I can finally look at it without crying, I don’t think the tears in my eyes will ever not be present when I leaf through this book.
I’ll be gradually uploading the contents of the album (100 odd photos from all through my life) to this flickr set, and maybe blogging about some of the pictures too. It’s the most beautiful, most meaningful gift I’ve ever received and I’d like to share it.
The Wardie cardigan is worked in pieces from the bottom up. When the front and back are complete they're joined at the shoulders and then the sleeves are worked from stitches picked up around the armhole.
If you're interested in knitting Wardie but aren't sure about the finishing here's how the shoulders and sleeve go together.
