So close! A week from now we’ll be introducing knitters from all over the world to Ceilidh dancing — I think I might be over the trauma of enforced dancing in highschool P.E.
In retrospect it may have been a bit absurd to do a giant product release right before the biggest event of the year but with some extra hands we got all of the Blend no.1 pre-orders out the door today. Royal Mail sent one of the full size lorries! This project felt like a huge risk so I’m feeling exceedingly grateful for the enthusiastic welcome it’s received so far. If you missed out on the pre-order we’ll have lots on the shelves at Edinburgh Yarn Festival and more online once we recover.
Little sheep stickers that indicate which batch the yarn is from.
You may have seen my patterns in your local yarn store and we do all Europrean print distribution in house — I recently put the work we put into figuring all of the logistics of doing that to good use and added patterns by a few of my favourite designers. If you have (or shop at!) a yarn store in the UK or elsewhere in Europe and would like to order print books and patterns you can do so online here: http://www.wholesale.ysolda.com
I’ll have gorgeous, popular patterns from Andrea Rangel, Gudrun Johnston, Laura Chau, Bristol Ivy and Thea Colman — all of which have download codes so you can cast on with your new yarn and back up a copy to your Ravelry library.
This year I have a rather luxuriously sized booth with enough room to invite other designers and teachers to do trunk shows and signings. Look out for a schedule soon so you can be sure not to miss saying hello!
There are boxes of yarn EVERYWHERE! And of course, there are also some new designs awaiting final photography and layout.
Congratulations to our Glenmore KAL prize winners! If you're still working on your Glenmore this blog series will stay up, so you can refer back to the tutorial for any section as you knit at your own pace. For inspiration and motivation check out all the lovely Glenmore projects here.
