Brunswick

by ysoldateague May 25, 2009

Although it wasn’t easy I have managed to leave my island, Portland is just a short ferry ride away and I’m planning on spending tomorrow afteroon exploring it further – I even found a knitting group to go to so if you’re local come meet up with me and the Portland Knitter’s on the Town tomorrow evening at Passage to India from 6. On Saturday I ventured even further afield than Portland to visit Purl Divain Brunswick for a lovely tea party.

Pay what you can pattern pricing

Pricing patterns has always been one of the hardest parts of designing and I’ve often felt like the “standard” price of knitting patterns is both lower than other similar products (eg. indie sewing patterns) and doesn’t really reflect the amount of work that goes into them. At the same time, it’s totally fair to worry that rising pattern prices will price people out.
