Eep I just checked my spam filter and for some reason it had caught a lot of real comments over the last few days. I think it’s only ever caught 3 genuine comments before so I’m not sure why it’s gone all uber-vigilant on me, sorry about that. Hopefully it’s just a little blip and it will calm down but I’ll keep an eye on it. This probably means someone won my contest Oh dear, I’m not sure now how I’ll be able to tell. I’ll figure it out I guess – or be giving out a lot of prizes

Pricing patterns has always been one of the hardest parts of designing and I’ve often felt like the “standard” price of knitting patterns is both lower than other similar products (eg. indie sewing patterns) and doesn’t really reflect the amount of work that goes into them. At the same time, it’s totally fair to worry that rising pattern prices will price people out.
