Shouldn’t have posted about spring, or appreciating sunshine, yesterday. Today the city is blanketed in haar, and even inside my head feels full of icy fog. Good day to stay home finishing a cardigan and baking though.
Anyone remember this?
I first posted that picture in October, and I finished the body before xmas. The sleeves have been crawling along, but last week I decided to finish this most ridiculous of commisions (ridiculous as in why did I agree to knit anything for someone else on 2.75mm needles).
Last night I blocked it and today is all about the seaming. A part of me loves seaming, the persnicketiness of it all, but I can see why seamless sweaters are so desirable. It took at least 2 hours to set in one sleeve and seam that sleeve. Still got to do the other side, but it’s looking good.
These boxes arrived, so I took a break to buy vegetables and bake soda bread.

Now I’m full of comfort food which has chased the haar away from my insides a little I guess it might be time to get back to the seaming.
Here in the studio, we are definitely feeling like it is sweater time. Some of us are still finishing up accessories from our holiday knitting, but we are excited about making sweaters and the workplace chat is full of links to Ravelry and other pattern sources with riffs on what yarn we could use and how we could adapt them.
