Many years, going to Rhinebeck can be a chilly adventure. I've found that what I really like is not to be encumbered by too many layers and accessories. Simplicity is the key to having a great time! So, having a thick warm sweater that is well fitted AND has integrated fingerless mitts is rather perfect… I can wear less AND be warm! It means I don't have to take off my mittens to eat my way through the festival or knit while I catch up with old friends.

Artichoke French is worked seamlessly, from the bottom up, in the round with raglan shaping and a mock turtleneck. Thumbholes are integrated into the elongated sleeves; if you want to skip this AWESOME design element, just cast on for the sleeves right after the thumbhole is worked.
