Cabled beanie knit in the round from the top down. The doubled hem keeps ears warm while the peak inside it keeps the sun – or the snow – out of your eyes. Templates for cutting the peak from plastic canvas are included in the pattern.


Materials
120[145, 170, 195]m / 130[160, 185, 215] yards of worsted, dk, or aran weight yarn. The heavier your yarn is the denser and warmer your hat will be. The total amount of yarn you will need will depend on the length that you make your hat.
The grey yarn pictured is Jaeger Extra Fine Merino Aran in shade 942 and the green yarn in the pattern illustrations is Lana Grossa Merino Big in shade 661.
Set of 4 3.75mm double pointed needles.
3.75mm 40cm / 16” circular needle.
Adjust needle sizes as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Cable needle.
Stitch marker.
Tapestry needle.
Plastic canvas – this can usually be found in the embroidery or kids’ section of craft shops.Gauge
21 sts and 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in stocking stitch.

To fit a head circumference of approx:
46[51, 56, 61] cm.
18[20, 22, 24] inches.
