The Knit a Brioche Accessory course is a self-guided learning experience for knitters. The course is a mixture of short, easy to digest videos and photo tutorials as well as a discussion group to ask questions and share your achievements with other knitters. We've also included 4 brioche knitting patterns designed to slowly grow your brioche knitting skills.
You will begin with learning how to brioche flat before progressing onto how to knit brioche in the round. Included in these early lessons there will be pointers to help trouble shooting what to do if you drop a stitch or make a mistake. The course continues on to explore decreasing in brioche before diving into how to knit brioche stitch with 2 colours. Like many of our online learning courses, there will be plenty of other knitting techniques to add to your knitting skillset such as swatching, keeping track of your knitting, and joining yarn. This course is designed to help you achieve your handmade wardrobe goals and develop the skills to make many more beautiful projects in the future.

The Knit a Brioche Accessory course includes four beautiful accessory patterns, from Ysolda that were thoughtfully developed to slowly grow your brioche skills. Two of these patterns are new designs, that Brioche course members will be the first to access before their public release.

Who is it for?
If you’ve never done brioche before this is the perfect way to learn, the projects will progressively challenge your skills, and the course gradually adds new skills, building on each week as we go. If you have a little brioche experience and are looking to grow in confidence to tackle bigger, more complex projects, this course will give you the foundations that you need.
If you are a newer knitter we recommend mastering the following skills before joining us: knitting and purling, knitting in the round, maintaining an even tension and basic increases and decreases.
How will I access the course?
The course takes place in the Knitwork, our online learning community. All course information and interaction will take place there. You're welcome to participate in the discussion group as much, or as little, as feels right to you. Whatever your skill level, your contributions are welcome, and if you have a question there's almost certainly someone else wondering the same thing who is too shy to ask.
How long will it last?
The Knit Yourself a Brioche Accessory course is ready for you to join. When you purchase a place you will be welcomed into our online learning space, the Knitwork and access the course itself.
Our brioche course is designed to be a four week programme with each week focusing on a new skill and pattern to try. Of course, we all knit at different paces and have different amounts of time available to work on our projects. You can learn at your own pace: your purchase includes continued access to all course content.
