  • YARN

Heavy worsted / aran weight yarn with a suggested gauge of 4.5 sts per inch / 2.5cm. The hood and gathered yoke require a yarn with good drape that won’t be too stiff or uncomfortably bulky. The honeycomb pattern used on the edges is a cable pattern and requires some stitch definition, but its deep texture works well in the somewhat fuzzy alpaca blends shown.

    Ysolda’s version shown in The Fibre Company Canopy Worsted (50% Alpaca, 30% Merino, 20% Bamboo, 91yds / 100m, 1.76oz / 50g) in Blue Quandons.
    Amanda’s version shown in Rooster Almerino Aran (50% Alpaca, 50% Merino, 103yds / 94m, 1.76oz / 50g) in 310 Rooster.
