    The Broadsea Hat is worked in 1x1 rib with a deep folded brim and refined details borrowed from high-end commercial knitwear. This multi-gauge and extensively sized pattern features six sizes from baby to a generously sized adult xl, to accommodate large heads and / or natural hair styles. Simply select your yarn, from fingering to chunky weight, work a small swatch and follow the done-for-you numbers for your size and gauge combination.

    Gauge

    Pattern includes directions for 6 gauges of 5, 4.5, 4, 3.5, 3, and 2.5 knit stitches per inch / 2.5cm This pattern includes multiple gauges, so that you can use the gauge you get with your chosen yarn. Before casting on your hat I recommend knitting a swatch of 1x1 ribbing in your chosen yarn. Further details are included in the pattern.

    6 sizes from 16-26"/40.4-66cm, with 6 gauge options

    Fingering to Chunky weight yarn, in one or more colours.
    Exact yardage will depend on size, gauge and yarn used.

    Needles and notions

    Dpns or circulars for your preferred method of working small circumferences in the round.
