They take just a small amount of yarn, ideal for using up leftovers. I used a couple of colours leftover from Pyukkleen for a coordinating but not matchy matchy set. The simple stranded colourwork pattern on Mitbringsel is closer to traditional Icelandic patterns than Fair Isle with shaping worked into the pattern and short repeats to avoid finger-catching floats. Glove fingers aren’t anyone’s idea of fun, but these use a neat I-cord trick that avoids working tiny tubes in the round and means you can knit four fingers at once.
