A long asymmetric wrap that adds an elegant finish to the simplest spring outfits — the length makes it easy to toss around your neck and the points along one edge look good however they settle.
The modern, textured design began with a very traditional lace edging pattern (print o’ the wave) that I stripped down and expanded so that the edging is the entire piece. Caer Idris is worked from tip to tip in a pattern that grows a little larger with each repeat. Don’t be put off by the number of charts, the entire length is charted for ease of use but the pattern is repetitive and intuitive, with switches that happen when you no longer have enough stitches to continue as you were. The garter based lace, ribbing and garter stitch panels mean that although it isn’t identical on each side both sides look great.
