This one is personally nostalgic for me, when I was a small child my grandfather knit me several jumpers with stripes of simple colourwork. He combined Norwegian patterns shown in black and white with Shetland wool in 3 or 4 colours that my mum would pick out. The patterns aren’t taken straight from any one of those jumpers, but are a little sampler of some of my favourite wee motifs found in traditional colourwork from around Northern and Eastern Europe. Those jumpers made me feel special and beloved, and I hope that you, or anyone you gift the hat to, will feel the same way when wearing it. Cairngorm is named for Bill’s love of the Scottish mountains.
Kits for Cairngorm are available in two colourways. Kits include a print copy of the pattern.
