The new Twist Collective is up and includes my pattern the Vine Yoke Cardigan.
Once again I failed to take any photos before it left my hands, but I did take a couple of progress shots.
This lack of finished photos is hardly surprising given that I handed it over to Twist’s Art Director Irene at Maryland Sheep and Wool. The soothing, comforting garter stitch kept me company through screen filled days finishing up the layout for Whimsical Little Knits, anxious days waiting for those books to return from the printers, hand cramping days signing books, long days labeling and envelope stuffing, hectic days trying organise my trip, exciting days in New York and Philadelphia. And finally, in our hotel room in Maryland, I sewed on the buttons, used every towel we’d been given and laid it out on our floor. When Irene called me at the festival the next day I desperately asked if she’d still be there the following day, for my poor sweater, like everything else that weekend, was still wet. Luckily by Sunday, the cardigan was dry and Irene was still around, and so we managed a very sly hand off at the Ravelry meet up, joking that Kate would kill us if we accidentally held it up in front of so many knitters.
Knit in the amazingly squishy Lorna’s Laces Green Line Worsted Vine Yoke is such a perfect project to me. Reasonably mindless, with just enough lace and short rows to be interesting, it’s ideal to pick up and put down, simple enough to knit at the end of a tiring day, perfect to fit into busy life. The end result is flattering and easy to wear and should fit just as naturally into your life and wardrobe. What journeys will you take the Vine Yoke Cardigan on?

It’s beautiful, Ysolda. Do you happen to sell time too? I could use some extra hours to knit all your patterns I want to knit!
I LOVE it! Now I just have to finish Vivian first :)
I love the idea and gartersts with lace. It is so you :)
Another amazing design, you make it hard to chose what to cast on first
You’ll never stop making me want to cast on projects right now! That’s what happened with Damson.
Beautiful as always! That one is definently going on the to-knit list.
Beautiful!!
What a beautiful cardigan! That is *almost* enough to get me to put down the baby knitting in progress and make something for myself. I have a few things to finish up and then I will be downloading this pattern. Swoon!
So gorgeous! I think I can see what you’ve done with the buttonholes, and if I’m right, that’s a mighty clever little item. I will have to buy it and knit it to find out. :-)
I also love that you’ve done it in a neutral. It would be too girly for me if it were in a different sort of hue, but the gray lets me see how well it would suit me.
I was just looking at the new Twist Collection! Very nice cardigan! Very feminine too!
It’s beautiful, I love it!
Oh, that’s a beautiful cardigan!
Love!!!
I really like your cardigan and I was wondering if I should buy the pattern…. :-) But there are still so many UFOs… *sigh*
Knittaxa
OMG! Ohhh I love it so much! Oooooh, I think I have enough berocco ultra alpaca!
So pretty and homegrown feeling. Mmmmm…. makes me think of wheat fields and pumpkins. Perfect for fall’s approach!
What a cute cardigan! I find it so amazing that you can design nice things like this inbetween so many other projects and works.
GORGEOUS! I can’t wait to sit down with the new Twist issue and go to town.
I love this cardigan – I am a great fan of yokes, and have recently made socks with a twisted vine type pattern … might just have to try this one out!
I love this! I have ordered it already. Love how the pattern is written and can’t wait to get to it!
I am just finishing up the Vivian that you had in Twist Collective and I can’t wait to start this cardigan next… I LOVE it.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful! I love top down cardigan and yours is just perfect! I can’t wait to start this project. Love it!
My favorite of the issue, congratulations! I will spin the yarn for this from raw fleece eventually :)
I’m with Aija – this was the stand-out piece in the new magazine for me. Congratulations, and I can’t wait to start this one.
Love it!
It is absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to cast one on!
The Cardigan is absolutely beautiful; I would like very much to knit one for future forrays in Kent and Sussex!
I have already purchased it and am planning to make it with an unplied yarn, which will give it a bit more structure, I think. I have never seen a sweater made this way, done side to side–I’m eager to get into it!
Very pretty. I can’t believe it’s already time for another Twist Collective!
That’s lovely! I think I have enough stash yarn to do it.
AAAAH! YSOLDA! You’re amazing! But you’re starting to clog my Ravelry queue! Must start knitting…
my goodness! you’re killing me! i’m knitting ishbel right now, going to make a mousie for a little one’s birthday next weekend, dreaming of damson, recently bought the pattern for lisel and now this! you do the loveliest things. :)
What a gorgeous yoke! I don’t know which I want to knit more – the Vine Yoke Cardi or the Damson….
Oh it’s amazing, just the cardigan I have been looking for. Yay!
I was instantly in love with this sweater when I saw the new Twist Collective yesterday. I can’t wait to make one for myself. And no subbing the yarn. I love LL Greenline Worsted.
Oh, it´s so beautiful!
beautiful sweater! its a really cute style
Beautiful!
It looks wonderful! :)
This is absolutely amazing.
:) Love it!
Gorgeous sweater!!!
This time (as opposed to Vivian) I saw it in Twist before your blog. It’s very pretty, and looks do-able. Can’t believe they chose to dress their model in red, purple and brown, though! I almost looked away, until I saw the designer name. Plain, natural colors could have made it stand out in a better way, I think…
Red, purple and brown. Gah!
Love it! Must. Add. To. Queue.
OMG I adore this.
It’s beautiful, Ysolda! And I feel like your picture shows it off better than the others I’ve seen.
This one is marvelous!!!!! Your patterns are the best!
So very pretty. I love how your sweaters have such unique construction. Looks very fun to knit!
I fell in love with this pattern as soon as my eyes fell upon it. I can’t wait to get started with it. It will be my first ever cardigan! I also want to thank you for making this pattern in the larger sizes. It is so rare that such a beauty is designed with all sizes in mind.
