I’m so excited to announce that pre-orders are now open for Little Red in the City. There’s still a little while before the finished book will be available. The final layout, proofing and printing is a pretty long process and we want to get everything right, but it will be shipping in March. Click here to find out more about it and place your order.

From the drafts I’ve seen so far the book is going to beautiful, my wonderful graphic designer Julie has made it so pretty. If you’re shopping for a gift she’s designed the perfect little card that you can print out for the recipient. Wrap it with the info sheets included in your pre-order so they can start planning their new sweaters. Thanks Julie!
Thank you to Amanda for your wonderful modelling, to Hannah, Jess and Rebecca for all of your help with the photography, to Alison and Laura for checking everything a million times and to Mel for your incredible ability to knit to the tightest of deadlines. And, last but not least, thank you to Sarah, without whom I’d probably have collapsed under a pile of unfinished sweaters and scribbled notes by this point.

Oh I love it! I WANT it!
Exciting! I have a question: you mention on the pre-order page that copies to the UK will be sent out from the UK – will you be offering signed copies as you have previously? x
Beautiful! I’m looking forward to this!
Approx. how many patterns will be in the book?
That is the *most* adorable graphic. Totally captures the spirit of your wonderful designs.
love it!!!
Congratulations! I look forward to seeing more, but it looks really really nice!
I love it!!!
This looks fab! And is that a grown up version of the Apocalypse Tree Hoodie? ( I have been reading a long time…)
Must say I’m surprized the site hasn’t crashed yet ;)
I’m kind of sad that the ratio of book and shipping costs is so high, though – paying more than half the price of the book for shipping doesn’t seem right. I’d rather give more money to you than to USPS!
I pre ordered !
Will there be a little signed inside?
Indeed the charges are high.
It looks beautiful! And I love the ‘teaser’ photos. I can’t wait to make Chickadee.
So cool! COngrats! How many patterns are in it?
Awesome! Is that the cover design? It’s fabulous. I love it. I really like that Melia one. I think I’ll leave buying the book as by March/April 2011 I’ll be somewhere in the UK settling in for a couple years stay. It can be a sentimental purchase as well then…from my time in the UK. :) Good luck with the final pulling together.
Oh yeah!! I have been waiting for so long for this book to come out. I love, love, LOVE what you are doing with the plus size model and sensitivity. Your patterns are so lovely, and I can’t wait to start making these sweaters.
Oh I do want it BUT seeing as I’m going to be in the UK for my first visit home in 8 years in March I may just wait for a little treat!!!
Yay! I can’t wait to get this book, what a treat!
can’t wait! enjoy your yule!
I wonder why you do not ship to the rest of Europe from the UK. Arent-t there enough of us on the Continent to make it worth the while for you ? Wouldn’t that lower the shipping charges significantly ? It’s the only consideration that’s keeping me from preordering as I’ve been waiting for those patterns for a long time.
I just pre-ordered, and I’m so so SO excited for it! Everything looks beautiful! I’m really hoping that you sign the pre-ordered books this time too. When I pre-ordered Whimsical Little Knits 2, you signed and dated it on my birthday, which was really wonderful :] So I’m hoping these are signed too!
Love your creations! Keep posting!
saw this (in blue?) at the Verb trunk show. So beautiful, loved that beautiful hem and detailed pockets. I (heart) that sweater, and the fact that it fit nicely even though I am hugely pregnant!!!
I too am waiting for this book but will get the e-book – I live in Malta, Europe, and don’t want to pay expensive shipping charges to buy a Brit publication from the US…… why, oh why????
