Laika

I’m impatiently waiting for book proofs to arrive tomorrow but in the meantime Julie has been working on the pdf version and she gave me one of the patterns as a single file even though she’s not done with the whole thing.

And since this is way too exciting to keep to myself, I figured I’d share it. The Laika pattern just went out to everyone who has pre-ordered, but if you haven’t yet don’t worry you’ll now receive the pattern automatically when you place your order. The patterns will be available individually in the future but for now this is a thank you perk for those who ordered the book :)

That’s a lovely pattern and the illustrations are beautiful. The quality of your work is amazing, so amazing that it’s always hard to knit from another designer! Congratulations and thanks to you and your team for a very promising book!! The wait was/is worth it.

Thank you for the pattern! I am so excited! Can’t wait the book:)
In Estoninan, Laika is a quite popular dog’s name :) Laika was also the first dog who was sent to space. That’s why the name of the cardigan makes me smile:)))

I would like to congrate you Ysolda for the wonderful pictures! It’s great to see how cardigan or sweater looks like on different type of body and in different colors! I think all that book process was a really really huge work to do!! But defenitely worth it! ; )

I love this pattern, and the pictures are great. I especially love the colour choices. That shade of purple looks great with your model’s hair colour. Also, yay the book’s nearly done!

Wow! This cardigan is fantastic! And I agree with the others, fantastic photos! Chicago makes a great back-drop! Very excited to stop by the meet and greet at Loopy Friday!

I love this pattern, and can’t wait to see the rest of the book! A new spring/summer sweater would be fabulous. Now to decide which color to knit it in. I love the red, but a black/dark purple might also be lovely. Difficult decisions! ;)

I’m so excited about this book – I just purchased it and can’t wait to receive it! I’m looking forward to gaining a better understanding of sweater construction.

Wow! I visited your site for the first time and found two of my favorite things–wonderful knitting and dachsies. Cleo and Farley are a great looking pair. I am assuming that the black and tan is Farley? I too have a b&t male named Ben aka Terradox because he’s so active and agile, we’ve accused him of being a terrier disguised as a dachshund. Our other one is a beautiful longhaired strawberry blond female named Liesl (note the Elizabeth Zimmerman connection). She has so much hair we call her the llasadox. Both are minis, 13-14 pounds. Pictures of dachshunds make me smile! Jo
