Cria

May 20, 2011

Cria-23.jpg
Cria pattern to everyone who has pre-ordered. It’s hard to pick but I think this one might be my favourite, it’s really simple but the construction is neat and interesting and there are some variations. The pattern includes directions for both short and long sleeves.

There are also little pockets for tiny treasures.

Amanda’s is shown in Madelinetosh Pashmina in Olivia, such a beautiful, complex colourway.

My short sleeve one is in Du Store Alpakka Babysilk which makes me happy because it reminds me of my trip to Norway.

Finally, my long sleeved one is in Old Maiden Aunt Alpaca Silk in Lon-dubh. Lilith is a very small dyer and her beautiful yarns sell out quickly, however if you want to use it for Cria she’d be happy to dye it to order for you – just send her an email with what you need.

p.s. Did you know that Cria is what baby alpacas are called?
